"What does a warrior eat?". That may sound a bit silly in this time and age, but the question still applies. Nowadays when people think "warrior" they probably think of athletic icons, people they see on television, the gym rat who is always at the gym, and a whole slew of other images of "warrior" that bombard us each and every day. While it may be true that those people are at the peak of athletic excellence, they are often the most un-healthy people out there. Between all the chemicals they put into their bodies, and the nutritionally shallow foods most of them eat, they are really not the ones we should look to for a model of how a warrior eats.

A warrior only eats things that are natural, whole, and nutrient dense. Lots of fruits and vegetables, plenty of plant based fats and protein, moderate amounts of lean animal protein, and water. In short, a warrior only eats things that will help him to be more healthy, and not things that will passively kill him.

This page of my blog is dedicated to articles reviewing diet books, warrior worthy food ideas, and my ideas on diet.

Day 14- Morning

Well I've been busy this last week so I haven't had time to post my progress on here. Here's an update. I played in the softball tournament, and our team got second place (after playing 6 games in one day!).

I've been doing pretty good at following the warrior diet style of eating/fasting this past week, with only a few compromises. One on friday when we went to the drive-in and I only had $3 for a drink, and a bottle of water was $2.50, same as a medium pop. I went with the pop 'cause I was getting something for my GF and I. Honestly, the pop didn't do a whole lot for me, it was mostly just sweet, and didn't really quench my thirst. I did get a sprite though, (not my favorite brand) and lately I've been craving Dr. Pepper. So we'll see. I find that I'm more addicted to pop than I am to coffee, I said no more coffee at the begining of this thing, and honestly, I havn't even thought about it since. And I don't really crave sweet things as much now (I havn't been eating "junk" food for about a week) although, I'm going to go back to eating dessert once in a while, because my GF makes really good stuff :D. I'm just trying to train myself to not eat purely for pleasure, but there is no harm in enjoying the eating process either, so I have to find a happy medium.

I also made a comprimise yesterday (sunday) when I had popcorn at three o'clock, technically this is a comprimise, but I think it was close enough to 4 that I'm not going to worry about it.

Today I'm cleansing with vitamin C, (I had WAY too much meat last night, 3 hamburgers, 2 hotdogs, 2 cobs of corn, and some healthy cheeto's)
